You Ask - We Answer!

Q. What does VCRP do?

A. We specialise in rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats in need. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for abandoned, abused and homeless cats, ensuring they receive proper care and find loving forever homes.

Q. How can I adopt a cat?

A. To adopt a cat, visit our website or and fill out an adoption application and we will be in touch. Alternatively, if you have additional questions about a particular animal, contact us via our Facebook page or contact form. Once your application is approved, you can meet our available cats, and our team will guide you through the adoption process.

Q. Are your cats spayed/neutered and vaccinated?

A. Yes, all cats in our care are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and receive a thorough health check. We prioritise the well-being of our cats and aim to provide adopters with healthy, happy feline companions.

Q. Do you accept owner surrenders?

A. While our primary focus is on rescuing cats from shelters and dire situations, we understand that owners may face unforeseen challenges. Please contact us to discuss your situation, and we will do our best to assist or guide you to appropriate resources.

Q. Can I become a foster carer with VCRP?

A. Absolutely! We welcome dedicated individuals to join our foster team. Visit our foster page for more information on how to get involved.

Q. What is your adoption fee, and what does it include?

A. Our adoption fees are individually listed on each cats adoption profile. These costs help to cover veterinary expenses (spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and other necessary care). Details about the adoption fee and what it includes can be found on our website or discussed during the adoption process.

Q. How can I report a stray or injured cat?

A. If you encounter an injured or sick cat, please contact your local council, the RSPCA or our rescue hotline. If the cat is in need of treatment, your local vet is under a duty of care to receive and triage the animal. We collaborate with various organisations to ensure timely and appropriate assistance for cats in distress. Due to a change in council law, we are unfortunately unable to accept uninjured stray cats.

Q. Do you have a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program?

A. Yes, we actively support TNR efforts to manage and control feral cat populations. Contact us for information on TNR services and resources available in your area.

Q. How can I make a donation to support your cat rescue efforts?

A. Contributions are vital to our mission. Visit our donation page on the website to find various ways to make a financial contribution or donate essential supplies to help us continue our work.

Q. What sets your cat rescue apart from others?

A. Our commitment to the well-being of every cat, personalised adoption processes, and a strong network of volunteers and supporters distinguish us. We strive to create a compassionate community dedicated to improving the lives of cats in need.
